Continuing Education Requirements for Contractors
New State Law: Continuing Education Requirements for Contractors
Starting in 2008, the State of Wisconsin will require the two individual contractor certifications:
- Dwelling Contractor Qualifier Credential
- Dwelling Contractor Financial Responsibility Credential
This is renewable every two years with 12 hours of continuing education. Over the past several years, the MBA has greatly expanded our educational offerings through seminars and educational events to provide a variety of opportunities for our industry in the areas of business practices, construction, development, and sales & marketing. While not all of these course categories will be approved for compliance with the new requirements, they will address a growing desire by many in the industry to become a better resource for their potential customers and more knowledgeable about new advances in products, building practices, and regulatory changes.
